My fascination with children and their uninhibited ability to express themselves with drawings led me to this photographic experiment.
I contacted the public school system and received permission from the school and parents to have the students draw their favorite dreams. Then I took portraits of the children as they wrote and talked about their dreams. The last step was to project the photographic slides of the children onto their drawings.
The drawings and text were fully created by the children and their written words were left without corrections.
I am in the process of expanding the collection to get expressions of children in other chapters such as: children in hospitals, abused children, handicapped children, gifted children, etc.
